5 Simple Tips for Quality Blog Writing
5 simple and awesome tips to write quality content for your blog, that I have found useful for myself.
Are you planning to start your own blog?
Or are you planning to start your niche centric website?
But you find it extremely difficult to write quality blogs. Blogs that will bind your readers, a blog that will inspire them.
These are my 5 best tips that are extremely simple to use for quality blog writing.
- Structure your blog before writing
- Simple Words and Short Paragraphs
- Avoid Adjectives like very, more, etc.
- Avoid Redundancies
- Proofread and Edit again and again
1. Structure your blog before writing
An 'unstructured blog' comes first in the list of mood-killers, it takes away readers' interest like anything. That's why it's important that before writing the blog:
a. Decide what you want to write about This happens with most of the writers when they have nothing specific to talk about. But they the message that they want to convey. And when they start writing, they start rambling.
b. Divide your blog into different segments
Example- Introduction, Conclusion, etc.
2. Simple Words and Short Paragraphs
Using complex words in the blog looks cool- only in the mind of the writer. Its all hotchpotch in the mind of a reader. Only simple words can convey your message directly and precisely.
And to make the read easier, keep your paragraphs short. Otherwise, your blog can become a forest of words, even though if its meaningful or grammatically correct.
3. Avoid Adjectives like very, more, etc.
Basically remove those words if you remove them will have no effect on the sentence whatsoever.
Paragraph One- It is very important that you stay home. And you should sanitize your hands more regularly.
Paragraph Two- It is important that you stay home. And you should sanitize your hands regularly.
It's a good practice that you avoid useless words.
4. Avoid Redundancies
Avoid redundancy of words and sentences.
Redundancy of words- You are using same words over and over again. Although they are used in different sentences and contexts, but this will irritate your reader.
Try to use synonyms of the word.
Redundancy in Sentences- When you are saying the same thing over and over again. Write it once, that's it!
Basically don't repeat yourself!
5. Proofread and Edit again and again
After done writing, take a long break. Because you are only halfway done.
After the break, proofread your blog several times. On average I proofread 3-5 times before posting the blog. And every time I edit my blog ruthlessly. I just trim down half the size of the blog.
